Sansevieria species has common names include mother-in-law's tongue, devil's tongue, jinn's tongue, bow string hemp, snake plant and snake tongue. It is tested by NASA it absorbs carbon dioxide at night, and oxygen is released during daylight. Night time absorption of CO₂ purportedly makes them especially suitable as bedroom plants. It is a very popular plant choice for architecture and interior design. |
CARE AND GROWING TIPS: Foilage / Indoor Plant/Shallow Medium Exposure Semi shade to full sun. However they will still grow in any position (although a little bit slower) as long as it's not deep shade. Humidity unimportant for all varieties of Sansevieria. Water Prefer little water. Soil Fast-draining, sandier soil. Slightly acidic to slightly alkaline on soil PH. Fertilizer Feeding a standard cactus or all-purpose fertilizer is perfect. Careful not to overdo it though. |
4 REASONS YOUR SANSEVIERIA MAY NOT BE DOING WELL: Excessive watering and root rot at base. Over exposure to heat & under watering. Drastic climate temperature change putting the plant to baking midday sun from a long time shady place. Plant infections. |
