Let your little ones learn lessons beyond classroom academics this September holidays. Over a 2-day art camp, your kids will learn important values like determination, cooperation, respect & resilience. Through unique art- making projects, they’ll also learn about the joy of thinking out of the box, identifying emotions as well as learning stress-coping strategies.

Activity Plan –– Day 1: 11 Sep
Session 1: I Am Creative
Colouring Activity that allows the kids to explore, have fun and be creative. Session encourages exploration with & without instructions to develop independence & confidence in their creativity.

Session 2: I Am In Touch With My Emotions
Kids get to create different emoticons that they are familiar with in this digital age. Using these emoticons, kids get to role-play and use the different emoticons to be in touch with their feelings and learn to express them in a free & safe environment.
Wrap up for the day.

Session 3: I Am Resilient
During these unprecedented times, there are many stressors and challenges that children face that we may not be aware of. This session will help the kids to identify the challenges & stressors, and how to tap on various resources and coping strategies through group sharing.

Session 4: I Am Unique
Through abstract art-making, we acknowledge and celebrate each child’s unique strengths, talents & skills
Wrap up the camp – with a mini art exhibition & group photos.
Kuan Eng spent 20 years in advertising after graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He made a career switch to social work in 2010 and now teaches art and runs art-led programmes in senior activity centres as well as student care centres.
He believes that art can educate and empower individuals in ways beyond the end product. His workshops are always fun and engaging, ensuring that participants enjoy the process of creating art, regardless of what they are.
