Prefers full sun exposure to be able to produce flowers but it can also thrive in partial sunlight.
Prefers moist soil to be able to grow and flower but it also needs to be drained well so that the roots will not rot.
Prefers soil that is slightly acidic. If the use soil that is not acidic, you can attempt to increase the level by adding peat moss.
Best to use liquid fertilizer to ensure that it can be dispersed through the soil evenly. Use fertilizer that is high in potassium and avoid that has phosphorus.
It is also recommended to encourage growth of hibiscus plant is to add compost bark or worm castings to the soil at least once or twice a year.
