The lovely heart-shaped leaves of the Monstera adansonii are well known. The common name "swiss cheese plant" comes from the leaves' somewhat waxy appearance and wide oval-shaped holes. As a houseplant, it can reach heights of 3 to 5 feet and up to 13 feet as a vine.
